Home and Personal Care Sector Launches Social Hot Spot Analysis Work
A Social Hot Spot Analysis is underway for surfactant-based products in support of the Home and Personal Care Sectors Product Committee work. This analysis will include the Social Hot Spot Database Risk and Opportunity Tables, publically available literature and chemical industry production and trade data to identify potential social risks in the supply chain of home and personal care products.
The analysis will cross reference with data grouped by 15 Social Themes which include 50 indicators to characterize risk for 38 Social Issues (28 country level and 10 at the sector-specific level). This analysis will provide valuable insights into both the utility of the SHSD for chemical supply chains and most importantly will foster the development of supply chain indicators and suggested best practices targeted around specific social hotspots and risk areas specific to home and personal care products. The results of this investigation will be available for internal review at the beginning of March.
