Leading Toy Makers in Attendance at TSC’s first Toys Sector Meeting

Hosted today at the Disney Synergy Lab in Glendale, California, The Sustainability Consortium’s first Toy Sector meeting marks a step forward to bringing standardized sustainability measurement and reporting to millions of toys.

The face-to-face meeting will include topics such as sector objectives and timelines, sector communications, and discussion on additional participants to include in the sector. Bonnie Nixon will provide a brief high-level overview of activities in her new role as Executive Director. Among those in attendance are major retailers (Walmart and Disney), NGOs (BSR and Clean Agency), and three leading toy manufacturers.

Leading the meeting is Kevin Dooley, Academic Director for The Sustainability Consortium at Arizona State University, and interim Toys Sector Manager.
