TSC’s Leadership Institute is an initiative focused on building leadership capacity for those that work in supply chain and product sustainability – a role that often leaves one feeling isolated and alone. To solve for this, TSC Leadership Institute creates a community of practice where participants are empowered to better navigate adaptive challenges in ways that shift whole parts of the system to more sustainable pathways. The Institute walks participants through new ways of perceiving their biggest sustainability challenges so that they can see their challenges from a new light. The Institute uses peer advising, mindfulness, science, creative play, and nature experiences to inspire new and bold ways of thinking. Formerly known as TSC Idea Forum, this new online and in-person program establishes a space where leaders can be brave and explore ideas for tackling our biggest global sustainability challenges. Exclusively for TSC All Access and retail members, we will be opening up options for TSC Standard and non-TSC members to attend in 2020. Past attendees include: Walmart, Amazon, Kroger, Henkel, Mars Inc, HSBC, PepsiCo, EDF, Syngenta, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, WWF, Edison Energy, Walgreens and more!
As a part of the Leadership Institute, we partner with organizations that bring outside perspectives and cutting-edge strategies to nurture innovation, ingenuity and change. We currently welcome our partnership with Eric Martin and Trevor Rees of Adaptive Change Advisers (ACA). They work with people who are committed to leading deep change, with and without formal power, resources and access to financial capital. ACA’s mission is to democratize leadership – putting leadership tools that drive change into the hands of anyone who drives positive outcomes. ACA builds on and extends the framework of Adaptive Leadership, which was developed at Harvard University over the past forty years to tackle challenges that have no known or easy answers.
