New opportunities are emerging to leverage crop-specific sustainability programs and associated goals to address the growing consumer preference for sustainably-produced food ingredients. This webinar will provide examples of approaches to setting, measuring, and reporting crop-specific sustainability goals . Each of the organizations and example crops featured operate in different contexts – both environmental and regulatory – and yet the approaches to setting goals and measuring progress overlap in meaningful ways.
Discussion topics include strategies to engage growers in upstream data collection; approaches to quantitatively measure sustainability goals; and partnerships in supporting goal implementation and collaboration with buyers to identify needs and create the right supply chain incentives. Participants will comment on future opportunities to link crop-specific sustainability goals to procurement needs to foster conditions for win-win outcomes for both growers and end-consumers.
