Delhaize Group Joins The Sustainability Consortium
TEMPE, Ariz., – June 7th, 2012 – Delhaize Group today announced its membership in The Sustainability Consortium (TSC), an independent global organization that creates sustainability standards for consumer products. The Consortium is made up of 90 members including retailers, suppliers, non-profits and government agencies.
Delhaize Group joins TSC as part of the Food, Beverage and Agriculture (FBA) Sector Working Group, the first sector to form after TSC’s launch in 2009. “We are pleased to have Delhaize on board in the FBA Sector and appreciate their leadership in sustainability. Their knowledge and expertise in global supply chains across a wide array of value chains will add important benefits to the development and implementation of the dossiers, Category Sustainability Profiles, and Key Performance Indicators being developed by the FBA Sector of TSC,“ say Sarah Lewis, FBA Sector Manager.
