About the Idea Forum Retreat

Between conferences and meetings and travel and reports and calls – When do you have time to think about the big issues in sustainability? How to tackle them? How to communicate them? How to collaborate with a small group of leaders not only passionate about sustainability but looking for the next step to get things done?

Exclusive for TSC Tier 1 and retailer members: TSC’s Idea Forum is a small, intimate group of change-makers interested in working collaboratively to identify, develop and implement solutions for the ever-changing landscape of sustainability. It is a place to explore opportunities for collective action on those issues, trends, and solutions that just cannot be tackled alone. Together we can move the needle on sustainability issues, and it all starts with the TSC Idea Forum.

TSC Idea Forum Retreat is a time when the Idea Forum comes together in a beautiful setting to reflect, explore and imagine creative ideas for tackling some of the toughest sustainability issues we face and leverage our leadership roles to drive change. Surrounded by the woods and waters of the Pacific Northwest, this retreat will help us disconnect from the daily distractions and plug into the solutions we can’t get to in our daily work routines.

We hope you’ll join us this August for this in-person retreat where we will focus on defining the future of sustainability by:

explore how we see sustainability shaping future business trends,
reflecting upon, sharing and coming up with solutions for individual and organizational needs in driving action on key issues,
and imagining and building the types of collective action that we will take on in order to drive progress.

Lodging

Islandwood, located on Bainbridge Island deep in the Pacific Northwest woods and near downtown Seattle, is the perfect get-away to put your phone down and roll-your sleeves up. TSC will take care of all your expenses while you’re there. To get to Islandwood, you’ll take a 30 minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle either by foot or by car. More information coming soon.
