The Home and Personal Care (HPC) Sector Working Group was formed in 2009 during the launch of The Consortium. This group has grown to include manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers. Home and personal care products can be found in nearly every home in the developed world and are rapidly growing in popularity among developing regions such as China, India, and Brazil making the benefit globally relevant and our timing extremely important to long term sustainable growth. The HPC working group covers chemical-based products that people use daily to clean, preserve, and improve the beauty of our bodies, our homes, and our possessions. Topics range from understanding how raw materials and chemical processing can aid in lowering the environmental footprint of products to developing a richer understanding of how chemical manufacturers ensure worker and consumer safety.
