10:00 AM – 12:00 PM CT

Designing a leadership institute is no small feat. As in cathedral building, it requires the channeling of a lot of ideas and energy into one common and persistent vision. We’ve worked to create a lot of those ideas and that energy through TSC Idea Forum. Through the inspiration and direction of those who have been part of TSC Idea Forum over the last 3 years, we are working to grow those ideas, that energy, and the community into the first ever TSC Leadership Institute. Come be part of this session where we will explore new models of leadership development, new ways of thinking about our sustainability challenges, and share ideas with each other about we want to create a Leadership Institute that helps us create the world we want to sustain. We are working to build the first ever TSC Leadership Institute – come join us!
This session is a workshop and is invite only. Contact Sarah Lewis

According to the FAO’s 2010 definition, sustainable diets are those with low environmental impacts which contribute to food and nutrition security and to healthy life for present and future generations.  But what exactly does that look like on the plate?  And what does that mean for consumers shopping at the grocery store and looking to meet their nutrition needs as well as reduce their environmental impact?  Also, with diverse authoritative voices communicating to consumers on nutrition, as well as sustainability, there is an opportunity for those voices to come together but who is that expert?  This session will seek to explore the concept of sustainable nutrition, what considerations need to be made from both an agriculture and a nutrient-density perspective and who consumers can look to for answers.
